Courage. Daring. Chivalry. Blaine.: slytherinstjames: Jesse was in the library waiting for Blaine. Why did...
Jesse was in the library waiting for Blaine. Why did i do this again? He’s just gonna heal my hand and crap.. and i’m upset with him. Oh yeah i have a huge ass crush, maybe thats why? Get over it and yourself St. James. He’s with Hummel now, focus on things like that stupid…
Jesse was looking at the faraway landscape as he felt tingle in his injured hand, he dismissed, not thinking much of it. He hadn’t realized what Blaine had done. He thought he heard the sound of a shoe, so he spun around and Blaine quickly hid his wand, giving Jesse a awkward smile. Jesse just gave him a weird expression and motioned him with his left hand to come sit down.
Jesse took a deep breathe. He could do this. This would be good, it would help him get over the dark haired boy, right? He had the mantra in his head until he looked over at Blaine after he had sat down. His big puppy dog eyes were hit perfectly by the moonlight, his slightly ruffled hair was illuminated in certain spots. He didn’t have a huge smile on his lips, but he had a smile in his eyes. Jesse loved that, his eyes. They were just so… expressive. shitfuck. there goes my mantra.
Blaine breathed a small sigh of relief when Jesse didn’t even realize his healed hand. That’s just how legit a healer I am, Blaine thought to himself. Jesse had a weird expression on his face as they sat down and Blaine thought it best to end their near silence.
“So I really, really need help.” Blaine pulled out some of his best puppy dog eyes- all of Gryffindor House said they worked on pretty much everyone- and hoped Jesse didn’t realize his healed hand because Blaine really really needed help. With all the resistance Jesse had been putting up, Blaine figured Jesse would be gone within a few seconds of finding his healed hand.
“Okay, on what exactly.” He said quickly turning away from Blaine and to his book. He had to be careful not to look at Blaine to much. It would only make things worse for himself…Again he thought to himself about why he even agreed. This was not a good idea, only going to get my hopes up only to see them crash and burn next time Hummel’s sucking his face. I’m digging myself deeper. He ruffled through the pages, waiting for Blaine to answer.
“The properties of the ingredients used in the first ten potions.” Blaine flipped open his book, trailing his finger down the table of contents page, illustrating what he was talking about. He laughed. “And I honestly have very few ideas as to what that actually means.” He watched Jesse keep his eyes firmly down. That was… confusing.
“Well it’s quite simple actually,” he started, eyes glued at the table. “If the ingredient is a solid or a power, it takes the property of a base. If the ingredient is a liquid it is more acidic. Bases and acids neutralize so depending on what potion is given affects the ration between the two. Also, cutting, mashing, and juicing affects the concentration. If you add too much of one thing or two little, it effects the entire balance. Try to keep a balance…” he said all of this with out even looking at Blaine or a book, he was just carving his name into the wooden table with his wand. Feeling awkward he snuck a look at Blaine….Fuck that wasn’t a smart idea. He quickly looked away and went back to carving his name.. it was hard because he hadn’t realized his right hand had been healed so he used his left. He had actually became quite proficient at left handed wand work, but still not perfect yet.
Blaine tried to understand what Jesse was saying. He really did. But he still didn’t quite understand. “I hate you,” he said. Blaine groaned and fell forward onto the table. “I really really hate you.” Blaine ignored Jesse’s laughter and stared at the spot where Jesse had been carving his name. “Why are you still using your left?” Blaine feigned curiosity and going with innocent eyes. “Your hand looks healed.”
Jesse laughed at Blaine quietly, as much as he didn’t want to, he couldn’t help himself. As for Blaines potions skills, well i guess some just don’t get it. Then Blaine mentioned his hand. He lifted the injured hand and unwrapped it, Blaine was right. It did look healed… too healed. It was not like that before he came down to the library. It was still pretty black and blue, and a bit yellow. Now the skin was all one color, the tan of his skin. His fingers weren’t as fat and moved extremely easy. “YOU FUCKER.” He said looking right at Blaine “YOU HEALED IT” Jesse resisted the puppy dog eyes, and sent back his own look that said. “you best explain this shit now.”
